Top Marks for Decibel Fire & Security with £0.5 Million School Improvement Contracts

July: Decibel Fire & Security has secured two major education contracts worth a combined £0.5million, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading specialists in school safety and security.

The company has successfully secured funding through the Department for Education’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) programme for two schools in Swindon. The competitive scheme provides capital investment for essential building repairs, health and safety improvements, and upgrades to educational facilities.

The two projects will deliver significant fire safety enhancements, including the installation of upgraded fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and compliant fire doors, helping to ensure the schools meet the latest safety standards while providing a safer environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The contract awards represent another milestone for Decibel, which already maintains more than 180 service contracts with schools and colleges across the region, making it one of the education sector’s most trusted fire and security partners.

Decibel Fire & Security specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire alarms, access control systems, CCTV, intruder alarms and integrated safeguarding solutions, protecting people and property through advanced technology and expert engineering.

As safeguarding requirements continue to evolve, the company has expanded its offering beyond traditional fire and security systems to include perimeter fencing, controlled access solutions and CCTV monitoring. Demand for these services has driven 50 per cent growth in Decibel’s safeguarding division over the past two years.

The business continues to invest in recruiting and developing qualified engineers to support its expanding customer base while maintaining the high standards of service for which it has become known.

Craig Harris, sales director at Decibel Fire & Security said: “Securing these two CIF-funded projects is a fantastic achievement for our team and reflects the confidence schools place in our expertise. Creating safe learning environments is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to support schools by delivering compliant, high-quality fire and security solutions that protect pupils, staff and visitors alike.”

The projects are expected to commence in line with the schools’ improvement programmes, delivering vital upgrades that will help safeguard both buildings and their occupants for years to come.
